Who controls your information

Rumil One Ltd, trading as Celestial Birthchart, is the controller of personal information used to provide this service. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 16936021. Information we collect

• Your name, email address and communications with us.
• Your date, exact or estimated time and place of birth, together with the confidence you assign to the birth time.
• The calculated planetary positions, houses, aspects, interpretations and report generated from that information.
• Payment status, transaction references and limited billing information supplied by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card or Apple Pay credentials.
• Report access settings, including whether a link is private, password-protected or intentionally made public.
• Technical and security information such as browser type, approximate network information, timestamps and error records.

How and why we use it

We use birth and contact information to calculate, generate, deliver and recover your free report and maintain your account. The lawful basis is performance of our contract with you. We use transaction records to administer Celestial+ subscriptions and meet accounting and legal obligations. We may use limited technical records to prevent abuse, diagnose faults and protect the service on the basis of our legitimate interests.

We do not use birth information to make decisions about eligibility, employment, credit, health, insurance or access to essential services. We do not sell personal information. Marketing messages require a separate choice and are not a condition of receiving a free report or using Celestial+.

Service providers and disclosures

We disclose only the information needed by providers supporting the service. These include Stripe for payment processing, FreeAstroAPI for astronomical and astrological calculations, and our website hosting, infrastructure and security providers. Payment providers receive payment and transaction data. Calculation providers may receive birth date, time, location or derived coordinates, but do not need your payment details.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to establish or defend legal rights, or to address fraud and security threats. When a provider processes information outside the United Kingdom, we use the safeguards required by UK data-protection law, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual protections.

Private and public report links

Reports are private by default. Anyone who receives a private password or access link may be able to open the report, so keep them secure. If you deliberately make a report public, its name, birth details, chart and interpretation may be viewed and forwarded by anyone with the public link. Returning a report to private mode prevents future password-free access through that link.

How long we keep information

We do not keep identifiable birth information merely because it might become useful later.

• Incomplete chart details held only in your browser remain until you clear them or the browser removes them.
• Completed reports and their birth data are retained for up to 24 months after creation, unless you request earlier deletion or longer retention is necessary to resolve a dispute.
• Subscription payment and accounting records may be retained for six years after the relevant financial year.
• Customer-support correspondence may be retained for up to two years.
• Routine security and diagnostic logs are normally retained for no more than 90 days.

Your rights

Subject to applicable exemptions, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your personal information. You may object when we rely on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where consent is the basis used. Contact mycelestialbirthchart@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting.

You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the opportunity to address the concern first.

Storage, cookies and security

The service uses essential browser storage and cookies to retain chart progress, secure account sessions and owner-only sharing controls on your device. Completed reports are stored on our hosted database so that private links remain available across devices. Access codes are stored as one-way cryptographic hashes rather than readable passwords.

Optional analytics remain disabled until you consent. When enabled, analytics may record pages, sessions, traffic sources, interactions and conversion events. Celestial does not send names, email addresses, birth details, report content or payment information to analytics. You can change your choice at any time on the Cookies page.

We use access controls, encryption in transit, restricted provider access and data-minimisation measures. No online service can promise absolute security. Tell us promptly if you believe a report link, password or account has been compromised.

Children and changes

The service is intended for adults. Do not submit a child’s birth information unless you have parental responsibility or another lawful authority to do so. We may update this policy when the service or its providers change. Material changes will be shown on the website with a revised effective date.
